Annie’s Project

Farm Credit is a proud sponsor of Annie’s Project. Annie’s Project is an organization dedicated to providing educational programs designed to strengthen women’s roles in modern agricultural enterprises. Their mission is to empower women in agriculture to be successful through education, networks and resources.

Annie’s Project participants learn about human resource issues, business planning, financial documentation, property titles, cash and crop share leases, marketing plans, retirement and estate planning and insurance. Farm Credit has long been a proud sponsor of this educational program that empowers farm and ranch women by strengthening their professional skills and exposing them to a network of local agricultural experts.

Throughout its history, Annie’s Project has empowered over 19,000 women farmers, ranchers, growers, landowners and agriculturists to be change agents who strengthen their businesses, families and communities.

Farmland Information Center: Resources for Beginning Farmers and Ranchers

American Farmland Trust manages this clearinghouse of information for beginning farmers and ranchers seeking access to land and capital. 

MarketMaker

MarketMaker is a national network that connects farmers and fishermen with food retailers, grocery stores, processors, caterers, chefs and consumers. Farmers and ranchers seeking local marketing opportunities can register their farm business with MarketMaker or search for potential buyers.

The Executive Program for Agricultural Producers

The Executive Program for Agricultural Producers brings together farmers, ranchers and agribusiness men and women who want to manage their organizations more professionally – from managing opportunities of growth and expansion, to issues of transition and succession planning.

Thanks in part to the support of Farm Credit, this program has trained some 2,000+ participants on advanced agribusiness topics. Farm Credit’s sponsorship allows for attendance at a reduced rate for participants, ensuring accessibility for a broader range of applicants.

Newfarmers.usda.gov is USDA’s one-stop shop for new farmers, women in agriculture, farmer veterans and young people interested in agriculture careers.
