Farm Credit Celebrates National Dairy Month
This National Dairy Month, we honor the hardworking dairy farmers who bring milk, cheese, ice cream and all our favorite dairy products to our tables.
Join us and raise a glass to America’s dairy farmers and read some of their stories below! 🥛
Royal Farms Dairy
Royal Farms Dairy has been milking cows and growing feed in Kansas for more than 20 years. In partnership with American AgCredit, the operation has expanded to 6,500 cows, and as many replacement heifers, that produce millions of pounds of milk each month.
Wright's Dairy Farm and Bakery
Wright’s Dairy Farm and Bakery is a thriving, fifth-generation family business that has operated in North Smithfield, Rhode Island, for over a century. Farm Credit East proudly plays a role in Wright’s success and looks forward to supporting their family for generations to come.
Lone Oak Farms
After graduation, Alex te Velde turned his focus to expanding his family’s dairy operation. With help from Golden State Farm Credit, the te Velde family invested in a three megawatt solar energy project. This solar project completely offsets the normal utility costs of their dairy operation, increasing Lone Oak Farms’ competitiveness.
Volleman Family Farm
Frank and Annette Volleman started their business on the family farm in Luxembourg, a small country in Europe. In 1993, after reading about the opportunities in Texas, they packed up their family and moved across the world to establish a dairy in America. Over the years, they have expanded their operation with the help of their lender, Central Texas Farm Credit.
