Stan currently serves as Chair of the AgriBank board, as Vice Chair of the Bushmills Ethanol board, as chair of AgriBank District Farm Credit Council, serves on the Buffalo Lake Lutheran Church Council and Fairland Land Management Company boards, and chairs Area Churches Together (ACT) – a parish serving six rural churches. Claussen began farming in 1974. He farms with his wife, Katherine, his son, Matt, and his daughter-in-law, Leah. Their farming operation consists of grain, vegetables and cattle.  Stan is a 1971 graduate of Benson High School and attended SMSU studying ag business.
