We are seeking an Appraisal Administrator to join our Farm Credit family! The primary focus of this position is to effectively assign/review appraisal requests to/from the appropriate staff or fee appraiser as authorized. This position functions as the primary contact for appraisal requests and TRID quotes in a defined area of the Association. Monitors progress of all assigned appraisal requests, completes appraisal reviews for specified transactions, delivers completed fee appraisals/reviews/invoices to the lending/administrative staff, and assists with the development and maintenance of the Association’s Approved Fee Appraiser List.
Responsibilities
Appraisal Reviews and Valuations: Complete appraisal valuations and field inspections in compliance with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), Association, and FCA policy, procedure, and standards. Assigns appraisal and valuation requests for a defined area. Assist with developing and maintaining of the Association’s Approved Fee Appraiser List.
Appraisal Compliance & Reporting: Responsible for providing TRID quotes to the lending staff in a timely manner. Ensures previously quoted assignments are sent to the appropriate staff or fee appraiser. Meets turn‐time expectations and other reporting requirements for effective job performance.
Sales Analysis and Compilation: Responsible for obtaining, analyzing, and maintaining a sales database, indexed appropriately, and that is representative of the types of real estate taken as collateral by the Association.
Requirements:
• Have and maintain at least a State Certified Residential Appraiser license though State General Certified license is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Agricultural Economics, Forestry, Finance or a
• related field, or equivalent experience
• Experience in real estate appraisal with emphasis on appraising agricultural producing properties and/or agricultural chattel
• Knowledge of area land value trends, forestry practices and production agriculture
• Ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively with all levels of the organization
• Excellent computer skills
• Ability to be assertive and decisive in arriving at sound business decisions which serve the best
interest of the borrower and the Association.
