Premier Farm Credit is looking for a proactive and relationship-driven Business Development Officer to join our team.  This role is focused on new business development and customer relationship management throughout our Association territory.

Position Summary: As a Business Development Officer, you will serve as the sales and business development representative of the Association, identifying and cultivating lending relationships with new customers.  You will work closely with agricultural producers, community leaders, and internal team members to expand our market presence and support ag communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with customers and prospects.
  • Actively represent the Association in the community through events, ag-related functions, and networking opportunities.
  • Drive brand awareness and market growth through targeted outreach and participation in local activities.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor strategies to guide business development efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, business, finance, banking, economics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in banking, finance, production agriculture or agricultural sales.
  • Strong prospecting, networking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Agricultural background and understanding of regional market conditions is a plus.
  • Highly motivated and self-directed.
