Farm Credit of Southern Colorado (FCSC) is seeking a Capital Markets Operations Specialist I to join our team. The chosen candidate will be responsible for processing daily transactions for the Capital Markets team, verifying accuracy of data in the system, maintaining letters of credit, and monitoring delinquent loans.
This position is full time, working approximately 40 hours a week, and is benefits eligible. Occasional travel may be required to sufficiently support other locations within territory. Travel to the Colorado Springs Office for one week of training required.

Responsibilities:
Capital Market Transactions
- Processes daily capital markets transactions for long and short-term loans by:
- Reviewing notices from lead lender and determine action required
- Repricing loans, calculating, and posting interest accrual adjustments
- Updating information on loan records in loan software system with new current terms
- Entering the transaction codes in system which posts them to the loan
- Reconciling transactions by reviewing for accuracy and going over settlements for daily balancing
- Requesting wires from partnered associations or making entries to complete an outgoing wire
- Researching and correcting discrepancies in loan software system discovered through monthly reporting processes
Recording New Loans, Refinances, and Renewals
- Enters information on new loans into loan software system
- Updates existing loans with current information in system to match the lead lenders
- Create customize Amortization Schedule and set forward locks utilizing Treasury Connect as needed
Loan Maintenance
- Delinquent Loans
- Runs a report to see which loans need attention regarding loan payments for delinquencies
- Contacts lead lender to determine when payments are expected on delinquent loans
- Makes adjustments to bill records when errors are made or payments will not be received
- Sold Loans
- Process sold loans in loan software system after payments are made on master loan. This is done by creating notices for partnered association and entering transaction into the system processor
- Perform maintenance as needed
Training and Development
- Take direction and guidance from Senior Capital Markets Operations Specialist to perform confidently and efficiently:
- All functions of Capital Markets
- Capital Markets reporting requirements
Minimum Qualifying Characteristics:
- High school diploma
- 1-3 years in banking, capital markets operations, loan services and/or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
- Preferred: Experience working within Salesforce software FiServ DNA and/or nCino
- Preferred: Strong understanding of loan origination, servicing, and secondary market processes.
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite sufficient to create, update and save basic documents
- Skill in accurately copying, posting or transcribing data
- Skill in oral and written communication, sufficient to exchange information effectively with peers, supervisor and participants
- Skill in Analytical thinking and problem solving.
- Skill in proofreading and editing documents
- Skill in work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Skill in building and maintaining productive working relationships with colleagues, clients and stakeholders.
- Skill in maintaining an organized work space
- Skill in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely manner
- Skill in ten key typing

Salary Range: $42k-56k
This range is a good-faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of this posting. Actual salaries could vary and may be above or below the range as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule 4.1.2. Variation is based on various factors including but not limited to location, qualifications, experience, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law. In compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, a potential new employee’s salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.
