Farm Credit Foundations is seeking a collaborative and hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our senior leadership team starting in the fourth quarter of 2025.

This is a working manager role overseeing a small accounting team. The ideal candidate brings both strategic insight and practical accounting expertise to help Farm Credit Foundations maintain strong financial health while supporting our organizational mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a strategic financial advisor to the CEO and leadership team
  • Liaison to Board of Directors and Audit Committee for all financial matters
  • Lead day-to-day accounting functions, including general ledger, AP/AR, and monthly an annual close
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Lead the annual budgeting and re-forecasting process
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements, internal controls and FCA regulations
  • Oversee annual audits and coordinate with external auditors
  • Foster a team-oriented environment and mentor accounting staff

What We’re Looking For:

  • A strong, collaborative team member with a service mindset
  • Proven experience in a CFO, Controller, or senior finance leadership role
  • Deep understanding of accounting principles and GAAP
  • Comfortable rolling up your sleeves in a working manager capacity
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related field
  • 3 years supervisory experience
  • CPA or equivalent preferred
