The Compensation and Reporting Specialist focuses on compensation market pricing and data reporting. We are looking for someone who enjoys focused, independent projects and thrives on details to complete market pricing projects, compile a variety of data and prepare reports. If you want to get into the compensation field, this job is a great entry point.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Review job descriptions, ask clarifying questions, and utilize software to match jobs to appropriate market compensation comparisons.
  • Prepare reports following documented processes, identifying opportunities for process improvement.
  • Create unique queries to pull data from databases to use in analysis, reviewing data to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure data consistency by recognizing and addressing data outliers and inconsistencies.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in HR, compensation or a business function, or equivalent.
  • Experience with market pricing jobs is a plus! If you’re not familiar with market pricing but have strong skills in analyzing job descriptions to understand their purpose and function, we’ll train you.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, macros, graphs and charts.
  • Experience with Power BI preferred.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy is critical.
  • General understanding of compensation fundamentals.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong client service and interpersonal skills.
  • Skill in managing multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
