Credit Analyst Position: full-time, in-person position located in the Colusa and/or Willows, CA Branches.

 

About Colusa-Glenn Farm Credit: Farm Credit Services of Colusa-Glenn, ACA (aka the Association or Colusa-Glenn Farm Credit) is a member-owned cooperative that provides credit and credit-related services to or for the benefit of eligible borrowers (members) for qualified agricultural purposes in the counties of Colusa and Glenn in the state of California. The Association is a lending institution of the Farm Credit System (FCS), a nationwide system of cooperatively owned banks and associations, which was established by Acts of Congress to meet the credit needs of American agriculture and is subject to the provisions of the Farm Credit Act of 1971, as amended (the Farm Credit Act). The Association provides financing and related services through its Federal Land Credit Association (FLCA) and Production Credit Association (PCA) subsidiaries. The Association maintains its corporate headquarters in Colusa (Colusa County) and a branch office in Willows (Glenn County).

 

Position Overview: The Credit Analyst provides support to the credit team through the underwriting and process of assigned credit requests.  In addition, the credit analyst represents the Association at various industry meetings and community events.

Job Functions

Credit Support (85%) The Credit Analyst performs financial analysis on assigned credits through the compiling of various required documents.  The Credit Analyst will be responsible for the input of balance sheets, cash flows, budgets and other financial information into the credit underwriting program.  The analyst will prepare a loan narrative that provides a summary of information for loan committee.   The analyst will review the loan package for completeness and accuracy prior to submission to the loan officer for review or loan committee for approval.   The analyst will conduct crop inspections and prepare crop progress reports.  The analyst is responsible for filing documents in the electronic file storage program, OnBase.

Administrative Duties (10%) The Credit Analyst will be responsible for approval of ACH deposits, approval of lien waivers and completing audit requests.

Community Involvement and Organization Support (5%) The Credit Analyst supports the Association’s presence within the agricultural community by participating in industry events, local youth activities, and county fairs as appropriate.

The position also performs additional duties and special projects assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.

Qualifications

Education: Associate’s degree in business administration or a related field

Years of Related Experience: 1-3 preferrable

Physical Requirements

  • Positions in this class typically require climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, keyboarding, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
  • Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and other sedentary criteria are met.

Completes work with a moderate degree of supervision. Solves moderately complex problems within established policies and procedures as well as government regulations. Unusual situations are referred to more experienced coworkers or a supervisor.
