Credit Loan Specialist
The Credit Loan Specialist plays a key role in supporting the credit department in the servicing and management of distressed, delinquent, and non-performing loans. This position helps uphold AgCredit’s mission to serve agriculture and rural communities by assisting in the resolution of troubled credits while ensuring compliance with Farm Credit Administration (FCA) regulations and internal credit policies. The role requires a basic understanding of agricultural lending, cooperative principles, and the unique financial needs of rural borrowers.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage Distressed Loan Portfolios: Monitor and service delinquent, restructured, and non-performing loans; ensure compliance with servicing plans and borrower rights.
- Ensure Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records in CRM, support regulatory reporting, and lead tracking of borrower communications and restructuring requests.
- Support Reporting & Litigation: Assist with reserve calculations, board reports, and provide documentation support for legal and litigation processes.
- Coordinate Across Departments: Collaborate with Credit, Legal, Loan Committee, and lending teams to drive asset recovery and resolution strategies.
- Provide Administrative & Cultural Support: Handle administrative tasks, support audits, and promote AgCredit’s core values through teamwork and adaptability.
What You’ll Need:
- Two-year degree in Business or Ag Business, bachelor’s degree preferred
- Two years of experience working in Ag Lending, and a general knowledge of Agriculture preferred
- Dependable and reliable
- Ability to interact effectively with a diverse group of people and work collaboratively with a team as well as independently with minimal direction
- Demonstrates attention to detail
- Ability to understand and interpret entity documents and other legal documents
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written
- Use of discretionary judgment in making decisions and problem solving
