We are currently hiring for a Crop Insurance Agent to join our Team! The Crop Insurance Agent will be responsible for selling and servicing all types of crop insurance coverage/policies & endorsements, while utilizinWe are currently hiring for a Crop Insurance Agent to join our Team! The Crop Insurance Agent will be responsible for selling and servicing all types of crop insurance coverage/policies & endorsements, while utilizing insurance and agricultural knowledge in order to provide customized insurance solutions for the Farm Credit of Florida crop insurance customer’s and/ or prospect’s individual needs. Location flexible between Fort Pierce, Homestead and surrounding territory.

Responsibilities:

Directly markets crop insurance products to Association members, customers and prospects within the designated territory or as directed by the Department Manager.
Promptly follows up on customer/ prospect referrals by Association Lenders or Staff.
Represents the Association in a professional, ethical and enthusiastic manner at all times, while providing a superior level of customer service and demonstrating outstanding policy knowledge to all customers and prospects.
Completes all the necessary forms required for a crop insurance policy or renewal, submits the completed forms to the Crop Insurance Services Special services those policies as required. All of these items must be done in a timely manner in order to comply with AIP and individual policy requirements.
Assists Association Lenders or Staff in the marketing of crop insurance products to the customers or prospects in their loan portfolio and/or assigned territories.
Develops and implements key crop insurance sales tools and presentations.
Ensures that the Farm Credit of Florida Crop Insurance Department operates in compliance with any and all Federal, State and Local laws and regulations related to crop insurance. This includes the agent maintaining in good standing, all required state and federal licenses as well as any required continuing education hours or competency exam requirements.
Be willing and able to acquire and maintain crop insurance state licensure in any other States as deemed necessary by the Crop Insurance Department Manager.
Assist with projects as assigned by Crop Insurance Department Manager.
Requirements:

Fully licensed Florida Resident Property & Casualty (FL220), General Lines Agent.
Ability to multi-task with strong planning and organizational skills.
Strong sales, interpersonal, client servicing and “team player” skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and direction.
Excellent customer interaction skills
Capable of handling high stress situations in a professional, business manner.
Ability to use discretionary judgement in making sound decisions while solving problems.
Ability to provide an exceptional level of customer service in all interactions with customers and/or prospects.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Marketing or Agriculture; or equivalent work experience.

Experience: Three (3) to four (4) years of experience in Crop Insurance sales or servicing and related insurance experience. Nursery industry experience preferred. Bilingual a plus.
