Fresno Madera Farm Credit is searching for a self-motivated, highly driven individual to join our fast-paced team environment. The Director, Relationship Management develops and maintains a portfolio of agribusiness, vertically integrated operations and production loans, and supervises a team of Relationship Managers to develop new business and maintain and service existing portfolios. Responsibilities include:

 

Portfolio and Team Management

Lead team in generating new loans and maintaining strong customer relationships
Monitor loan performance, adjust risk ratings, and resolve delinquencies
Develop strategic plans for key customers and ensure exceptional service

Team Leadership

Hire, mentor, and evaluate relationship managers and capital market associates
Guide team with clear direction, assign tasks, and support professional growth
Oversee loan decisions, performance reviews, and set high performance standards

Loan Origination

Engage with current and prospective customers to assess financial needs and present loan solutions
Collaborate with credit analysts for loan assessments and approvals
Present loan structures to loan committee for larger requests and communicate decisions to clients

Customer Outreach and Marketing

Build a strong network by attending community events and engaging with key stakeholders
Identify and prospect new business opportunities through market research
Promotes additional services such as leasing and cash management to meet the customer needs

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong knowledge of the agriculture industry
Expert knowledge of agricultural lending practices
Expert knowledge of loan structuring concepts, including complex loans
General knowledge in marketing principles and concepts
Skill in identifying key issues and relationships relevant to achieving long range goals or vision
Skill in selecting, managing, coaching, motivating, and developing diverse teams
Skill in negotiating complex agreements to achieve the best outcome for the organization
Skill in analyzing information to formulate logical and objective conclusions
Skill in working as part of a team and collaborating with colleagues.
Skill in enhancing the performance of individuals and groups in an organizational setting.

Skill in establishing a productive relationship with customers
The ability to prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner.
Skill in recognizing the need for action and initiating activities to address the need
Expert customer service skills including the ability to communicate complicated information, deliver bad news effectively, and exceed customer expectations
Skill in using a systematic approach to problem solving
Ability to identify and implement process improvements
Working knowledge of Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook
Skill in reading and understanding income statements, balance sheets, and other financial reports.
Oral and written communication skills, sufficient to exchange information effectively with peers, supervisor and customers.

Minimum Qualifications:

7 years of agriculture or commercial lending experience.
3 years of supervisory experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, business or a related field.

Salary: DOE

Minimum – $200,000 Maximum – $225,000
