Educational Program and Relationship Specialist

Farm Credit of the Virginias is seeking to hire an Educational Program and Relationship Specialist in its Knowledge Center. From your first day, you will be part of an engaged and customer-focused team! The Educational Program and Relationship Specialist serves as a resource to current and prospective customers who are or who may be participants of an established association-lending program for young, beginning, small, minority, and/or veteran audiences.

Responsibilities/Duties:
• Understands educational needs across the FCV footprint which assists in the development of resources, programming and opportunities through the Knowledge Center with an emphasis on young, begin ning and small audiences
• Provides support to current and prospective customers who have been selected to participate in any of the Association’s educational programs.
• Provides educational components to the FarmLaunch Program to assists with customer understanding and success.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, agriculture and applied economics, business or an agricultural education related field.
• 3 years of related work experience
• Good knowledge of lending, understanding of commercial agriculture lending ideal
• Ability to provide education, resources, or mentorship to others as needed
• Exceptional customer relationship abilities
• Effective communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products with demonstrated ability to learn new technology
• Commitment to developing an understanding or kn owledge of agriculture sectors outside of the traditional four commodities in our footprint
• Solid knowledge of business plan development
• Ability to travel for customer visits and meetings
