About the Role:

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and analytical Financial Planning Analyst to play a key role in organizational budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and strategic analysis that will directly support the long-term financial health and growth of the Association This role blends financial analysis, cross departmental partnership, reporting, and strategic insight. The ideal candidate is strong in communicating complex financial data into clear actionable recommendations to the leadership team. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes
• Build and maintain financial models for strategic planning
• Analyze performance drivers and identify key trends
• Prepare clear and insightful reports for leadership teams
• Partner with business leaders to provide data-driven guidance
• Translate financial insights into strategic recommendations

What You Need:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Experience: 3+ years of financial analysis or related experience
• Certification Preferred: CMA certification

Technical Strengths & Skills:

• Strong Excel and financial systems expertise (PowerBI, OneStream, GL software)
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical abilities
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

This position is open until filled.

Preferred office location is Jefferson City, MO. Columbia, MO would be considered after a training period.

This position is classified as Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Flexible work hours will be considered based off the candidates’ qualifications and needs.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job. Master’s degree preferred. 
• Minimum of 3 years of financial analysis, accounting, or related experience.
• Farm Credit or Financial Services industry experience preferred.
• Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Advanced working knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and financial ratios.
• Advanced knowledge of technology-related applications, which may include general ledger software, Excel, PowerBI, and OneStream.
• Listening, written, and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization. 
• Ability to present information and ideas clearly and understandably to others.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and time management skills.
• High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and organization.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other teams to achieve goals and represent the business.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing situations. Can effectively deal with ambiguity, cope with change, shift gears comfortably, and make decisions without having 100% of the data.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, leadership).
• Self-starter with ability to derive innovative solutions with little direction.
• Responsible for appropriately protecting the confidentiality, security, and integrity of the Association’s systems and data and clients’ data
