The HR & Compliance Specialist will provide leadership and guidance on HR operations and will serve as the Association’s Standards of Conduct Officer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides effective management of human resource issues
- Manages the day-to-day HR Operations functions
- Administers employee onboarding, offboarding, and orientation programs
- Leads recruitment efforts, including career fairs employment brand building and broad posting of job opportunities, screening, and interview coordination
- Develops the annual Human Capital Plan
- Enters employee data in the HRIS system related to new hires, terminations, transfers, title changes, compensation changes, etc.
- Assists the CFO in reconciling the semi-monthly payroll
- Assists employees with benefit and payroll inquiries
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Coordinates and supports training and development initiatives
- Administers and promotes our training platform usage by identifying and sharing relevant courses that align with management’s training initiatives or focus areas.
- Supports performance management and employee relations processes
- Contributes to HR policy development and implementation
- Serves as Standards of Conduct Officer, monitors adherence to the standards, provides reporting, training and guidance and helps build a culture of compliance
- Administer the compliance hotline service to receive, document, and address confidential reports of unethical, unsafe, or non-compliant behavior, ensuring timely resolution to protect the organization’s employees, assets, and reputation
- Reviews and investigates suspected violations and files Criminal Referrals when warranted, ensuring all necessary reporting is completed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of HR experience preferred
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive compensation package. Grade and salary commensurate with experience, with a base salary range of $60,000-$85,000 plus a team bonus. This range is a good-faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of this posting.
