Internship – Technical Writing, Fostoria, OH
Spring 2025 (January – May)

To develop knowledge about AgCredit, ACA and the Farm Credit System’s operations, products and services and how they relate to the agricultural community. Contribute to the successful operations of the cooperative. Comply with all AgCredit, ACA policies and procedures while maintaining regular and punctual attendance as expected of this position.

Responsibilities
– Develop written, end-user instructions for AgCredit applications and/or processes.
– Review written instructions for accuracy, relevancy, spelling, and grammar.
– Work with subject matter experts to learn AgCredit applications and concepts relevant to assigned projects.
– Work with the Learning and Technology Solutions Specialist to ensure written instructions meet style, formatting, and quality standards.
– Update existing, outdated written instructions as needed.
– Assist with learning and development projects which may include, but are not limited to:- Assisting the training team in compiling and organizing content for learning paths, career paths, training events, and other Association events.
– Assisting the Training Coordinator in reviewing third-party training content and making recommendations for its promotion and use by the Association.
– Assisting in identifying obsolete or outdated content in need of updating in the Talent Management System (TMS).

– Develop the skills necessary to execute assigned projects related to the learning and development function of the Association which may include the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PolicyStat, the Association’s TMS and other applications or systems.
– Work closely with designated training team members to:- Understand various job functions.
– Gain exposure to different approaches to performing and completing assigned tasks.

– Co mplete assignments and projects within specified timeframes.
– Submit a written evaluation of the internship experience to the Human Resources Department during the last week of the internship.
– Attend the intern orientation, training programs and become familiar with other written materials.- Review information packet.
– If assigned, participate in project orientation, all related calls thereafter and contribute towards achieving a positive result of the group project.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
– At least one year of post-secondary education
– Working towards a 2- or 4-year degree preferably in communication, English, business, or related field of study.
– Ability to clearly communicate ideas and concepts effectively in writing.
– Proficient in English grammar.
– Detail oriented, curious, and willing to learn new skills.

Schedule
– Will be flexible around school schedule
– Student should be willing to commit to roughly 20 work hour per week
– Office Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
