We are seeking to hire a Loan Accountant. The successful candidate will maintain the integrity of the General Ledger reporting system by ensuring that all entries are posted in a timely manner and subsidiary ledgers are reconciled and closed in accordance with established procedures. The Loan Accountant coordinates the processing of loan payments to customer accounts by performing data input into the loan accounting and general ledger systems and performs administrative and general accounting activities.
Responsibilities include:
• Prepares and processes the deposit and daily work for assigned branches to include processing of all accrual note modifications, renewals, refinances and new loans.
• Ensures FASB91 time record is adequately completed.
• Processes check reversals and notifies appropriate branch office when checks are returned; completes journal vouchers, assesses appropriate fees, and prepares reversal payment entries. • Re-prices notes processed per policy, including, but not limited to notifying the appropriate personnel when a re-price note has been booked.
• Eform for loans with a rate lock that close are submitted to AgFirst FCB if not automatically updated after 3 days.
• Reviews, verifies, and corrects system generated reports for assigned branches.
• Maintains the highest quality of customer service during calls, deals tactfully to resolve customer complaints and inquiries, and follows appropriate company standards/procedures.
• Serves as backup for any centralized accountant and their duties.
• Serves as consultant/advisor for assigned branch location loan assistants.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Ability to use discretionary judgment in making sound decisions and solving problems.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong background in GAAP.
• Analytical and detail oriented.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Education and/or experience equivalent to an Associates Degree.
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of accounting and/or accounting systems experience
