This position is located in Jefferson City.

A Hybrid – Remote Office Work Environment and flexible work schedule will be considered after the initial training period is complete and based off of the candidates’ qualifications and needs.

This position is classified as Non-Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Responsibilities/Duties

Job Functions*

30%Maintains branch loan accounts

  • Processes financial transaction corrections, maturity date extensions, conversions to new interest rate products, etc.
  • Creates and corrects year-end tax documents and provides communication to members regarding these forms
  • Identifies loan activity that requires communication with AgriBank & SunStream regarding approval, issues, and branch needs
  • Sets up and maintains lease loans while communicating with CoBank and Oscar regarding issues

20%Communicates accounting instructions and procedures to branch employees

  • Identifies issues and needs and provides guidance on steps necessary to resolve the issue or need
  • Monitors branch requests for appropriate approval levels for waivers and transfers
  •  Assists loan officer’s in identifying fees
  • Maintains knowledge of association Tier structure for consistent/accurate pricing of loan portfolio

10%Missouri Linked Deposit Program

  • Communicates with the State and Branch
  • Maintains the Missouri Linked Deposit Internal SharePoint Site
  • Completes a monthly Missouri Linked Deposit as well as audit requests
  • Processes Applications and Renewals

10%Account Reconciliation

  • Reconciles differences posted to loan accounts through the Association’s front-end system and the corresponding general ledger accounts in the loan accounting system
  • Researches and resolves outages

10%Prepares daily, monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports

  • Creates, manipulates, and runs reports
  • Reviews reports to identify and correct errors
  • Publishes wholesale fee report and answers branch staff questions pertaining to it

5%Reviews loan accounting procedures

  • Ensures procedures and practices are in alignment
  • Identifies and recommends possible improvements to procedures
  • Maintains and verifies that records/documentation is accurate, stored properly, and aligns with retention schedule

5%Daily deposits

  • Posts and processes daily deposits for the Central Office branch
  • Provides support to branch staff on deposits and systems used to process deposits

5%Publishes association loan rates and maintains rate files

  • Publishes daily loan rates to the Association intranet site for employee consumption
  • Inputs certain rates on a weekly and/or monthly basis to the Loan Accounting system

5%Serves on special project teams as assigned

  • Participates on projects as a subject matter expert or resource

Required Skills

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field
  • Two years related experience in a financial services organization
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Skill in consistently meeting deadlines while managing multiple priorities

  • Verbal and written communication skills, sufficient to exchange information effectively with peers, supervisor, and customers
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Expert skill in utilizing a keyboard and 10 key to enter information quickly and accurately
  • Expert customer service skills, including the ability to communicate complicated information, deliver bad news effectively, and exceed customer expectations
  • Working knowledge of the banking industry and lending processes
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook and Access
  • Working knowledge of PDF Editor
  • Working knowledge of SAP Crystal Reports 2016
  • General knowledge of accounting system software
  • Responsible to appropriately protect the confidentiality, security, and integrity of the Association’s systems and data and clients’ data
