JOB PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
In a training program that focuses on learning the approval process required to extend and service all loan products offered by the association; works under close supervision.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting, Agricultural Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience and Zero (0) to two (2) years of experience.
POSITION SUMMARY:
1. Work closely with senior-level loan officers and other staff to gain a sound understanding of credit analysis and business development including loan pricing.
2. Utilize preliminary credit analysis under the direction of senior-level staff. Enter loan information and various other information while learning how the system is used and learning how to perform loan analysis.
3. Work with one or more assigned appraisers to gain an understanding of the appraisal process.
4. Work with management a nd staff to gain an understanding of the purpose and processes involved in developing credit skills. May assist senior-level staff with credit reviews.
5. Work with the loan processing team to gain an understanding of the loan processing function.
6. Ensures that all assigned loans are properly risk rated, assigned loss given defaults are correct and performance status assignments are proper.
7. Complies with proper credit administration practices as outlined in the association’s policies and procedures.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
General knowledge of accounting/financial systems. Specialized knowledge of accounting/finance principles. Skill in oral and written communication. Basic skill level in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to perform basic accounting and financial analyses under moderate supervision.
