Marketing Research Analyst (Hybrid – Columbia, SC)

The Market Research Analyst’s responsibility is to manage all aspects of complex surveys, including research, client consultations, project management, survey programming/creation, survey administration, data analysis, and reporting. The reporting aspect is critical to this position, with the role being responsible for not only executing/analyzing various large-scale research efforts but also preparing reports, data visualizations, and more, all in plain, approachable text that our clients can easily understand and act upon in order to maintain their competitive market position.

What you’ll do:
– Programs and tests surveys in Qualtrics with advanced logic, embedded data, work flows, and other multifaceted requirements.
– Explores and implements creative solutions to meet project needs, such as custom coding (e.g., JavaScript, CSS) or integrations with other data systems (e.g., HubSpot, Tableau).
– Manages contact data in the Qualtrics directory and creates customized dashboards for various stakeholders.
– Responsible for programming and deploying new survey projects. Analyzing respondent feedback.
– Designs and maintains dashboards in various delivery channels like Tableau and Qualtrics.
– Collects/analyzes market information and trends and presents findings to leadership.
– Conducts qualitative and quantitative market research relating to current and future projects.
– Provides analysis to inform marketing, sales, and customer experience strategies to drive various projects and initiatives.
– Monitors market to recognize market trends/competitor strategies, and outlook/unmet customer needs/other issues that impact marketing.
– Provides support to the department and leadership through reporting and analysis. Provide general support as needed to support the goals of the department. Manage vendor relationships and contract renewals.

What you’ll need:
– A bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, statistics, or a related field.
– Three years in market research and/or data analysis.
– Working knowledge of statistics and market research methods.
– Experience in qualitative and quantitative analysis.
– Knowledge of statistical and data analysis tools and techniques is required.
– Experience developing surveys and analyzing consumer feedback with knowledge of survey tools, including Qualtrics, is required. Experience as a Qualtrics admin preferred.
– Demonstrate above-average skills in Excel required.
– Working knowledge of Tableau dashboard development preferred. Tableau server admin experience is a plus.
– Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities
– Ability to present to large groups, including executives.
– Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL Server databases a nd SQL scripting to update databases is preferred.
