The 2026 Internship: Are you passionate about agriculture, rural communities, and helping people achieve their dreams? Join us for a 12-week internship experience that goes beyond the basics! You’ll gain hands-on exposure to agriculture finance, build your network, and contribute to real business goals.
We are hiring 3 interns – so bring your energy, curiosity, and drive!
What You’ll Experience:
- Shadow and work with professionals in the industry and learn how we build lasting customer relationships and maintain an image as Missouri’s leading ag finance institution.
- Follow and learn the full lending journey from application to credit analysis, appraisal, and loan closing.
- Experience the power of our “One Team” culture – where collaboration and shared goals drive our success.
- Explore departments like Crop & Livestock Insurance, Accounting & Finance, Credit Services, Human Resources, Legal, Loan Services, Audit, Marketing, Title Services, and Information Services.
- Meet our leadership including Executive and Senior leaders and our Board of Directors.
- Own a project that aligns with our 2026 Business Objectives and adds real value
- Customize your path with mentorships in your area of interest during the last weeks of your internship.
What We’re Looking For:
- Current college sophomore, junior, first semester senior, or graduate student.
- Majors in: Ag Business, Ag Econ, Animal Science, Agronomy, Ag Education, Ag Communications, General Ag, Business, Finance.
- General knowledge of agriculture, rural communities, financial services, and FCS Financial.
- GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Strong work ethic, ability to travel, flexible, and collaborative
- Great communication skills and comfort in Microsoft Office tools, with the ability to learn new software.

- Northern Missouri – Team #1
- Central Missouri – Team #2
- Southern Missouri – Team #3
This position is classified as Non-Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Minimum Qualifications
- College sophomores, juniors, first semester seniors, or graduate students
- Desired degree programs are Agricultural Business, Agricultural Economics, Animal Science, Agronomy, Agricultural Education, Agricultural Communications, General Agriculture, Business, Finance
- Minimum 2.5 GPA
Required Knowledge and Skills
- General knowledge of FCS Financial
- General knowledge of the agricultural industry
- General knowledge of agriculture/rural communities
- General knowledge of financial services industry
- General knowledge of basic financial/accounting terms and applications
- Skill in using Microsoft technologies including e‐mail, word and spreadsheet processing
- Oral and written communication skills sufficient to discuss a variety of job-related topics, and to effectively communicate complex topics to a variety of audiences
- Responsible to appropriately protect the confidentiality, security, and integrity of the Association’s systems and data and clients’ data
