We are currently recruiting for a Paralegal Loan Closer.
Responsibilities:
• Demonstrates moderate to complex decision-making skills exhibiting the ability to exercise independent judgment and evaluation on a regular basis.
• Appropriately involves the Closing team manager or other applicable management when unique circumstances or risks are encountered.
• Independently prepares accurate closing documents in accordance with Association policies, procedures, and closing protocol.
• Ensures all closing documents fully comply with Association policies, procedures, closing protocol, the loan approval, and state and federal law/regulations.
• Prepares commitment letters and closing documents for all loan actions, including new loans, renewals, and other treatments.
• Effectively plans and organizes job duties and responsibilities to appropriately prioritize tasks.
• Prepares closing documents in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner, with no unnecessary delays in meeting agreed upon scheduled closing dates.
• Closing packages are completed and provided to loan officers in advance of the closing with sufficient time for their review and necessary modifications to be made.
• Effectively communicates with all involved parties to the closing, both internal and external, to ensure a professional image of the Association is maintained.
• Responds promptly and professionally to inquiries from attorneys, title agents, loan officers, loan specialists, loan accountants, etc. regarding closing preparation and coordination.
To qualify for this position, you must have:
• Legal document drafting experience
• Broad working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
• Effectively communicate, both orally and in writing
• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task and managing competing demands though strong planning, organization, and time management skills
• Thorough understanding of established policies, procedures, and closing protocol that enables one to work independently with minimal instruction
• Gather and skillfully analyze information to make sound decisions or recommendations.
• Adaptable to changing conditions
Education: Associate or bachelor’s degree, paralegal degree or certification, preferred.
Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of paralegal work experience in drafting legal documents and closing complex loans.
