At FCS Financial, part of the Farm Credit System, we’re on the lookout for a dynamic and detail-oriented Paralegal with specialized knowledge in Title & Real Estate to join our Legal Services team.

What We’re Looking For:
Associate degree in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree preferred. Paralegal Certification preferred. A background in real estate law or title services with strong understanding of real estate transactions and compliance. Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Required Skills
- Associate’s degree in paralegal studies, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Paralegal Certification
- 3 years of related experience as a real estate paralegal
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Working knowledge of real estate law and transactions
- Working knowledge of title insurance and closing processes
- Proficiency in legal research tools and databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis)
- Strong problem solving, decision making and organizational skills.
- Skill in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely manner
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Communication skills sufficient to discuss a variety of job-related topics and to effectively communicate complex issues
- Skill in utilizing Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Skill in processing complex, detailed information in an accurate and thorough manner
- Skill in working as part of a team and collaborating with colleagues
- Verbal and written communication skills, sufficient to exchange information effectively with peers, supervisor and customers
- Skill in organizing material and information in a systematic way to optimize efficiency
- Skill in applying processes and procedures to factual data to come to make logical decisions
- Responsible to appropriately protect the confidentiality, security, and integrity of the Association’s systems and data and clients’ data
