If you enjoy digging into compliance and have a background in payroll, tax or HR, the Payroll/HR Compliance Analyst position is made for you. This position is part of a team of payroll professionals supporting 30 Farm Credit organizations with approximately 11,000 employees located in 48 states. The team acts as an extension of our partner organizations’ HR and Payroll departments.
Main Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze federal, state and local legislative changes related to payroll, tax and HR administration across 48 states
- Develop and implement procedures to support payroll processes and internal controls
- Collaborate internally to ensure consistency across departments
- Translate regulatory changes into clear, actionable information by:
- Preparing written communications
- Developing practical reference materials
- Delivering training sessions
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- 5 years of experience in payroll, HR, compliance or related field
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the essential functions of the position
- Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations related to payroll, tax, leave, and HR administration
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to interpret complex regulations for practical application
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to educate and influence stakeholders
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office including Excel
- Ability to work within a team in a fast paced, changing landscape
- Takes accountability for project ownership, timely task completion and issue resolution
- Ability to hold team members accountable
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
