Job Description
The Residential Loan Officer/Mortgage Loan Originator is responsible for conducting a business development program, including marketing directly to real estate agents, CPAs, real estate attorneys, home builders and others, which results in residential and land loan growth. The successful candidate will accurately manage residential and land loan applications through the sales pipeline using portfolio and secondary mortgage products. The Residential Loan Office/Mortgage Loan Originator ensures applications comply with current ACA policy and federal consumer loan regulations; communicates with borrowers on status and documentation updates throughout the process, in a manner that delivers an exceptional customer experience; and assists with online retail loan operations including processing and servicing online loan requests.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in business or finance or a related field and/or experience equivalent to the degree
- Experience as a Mortgage Loan Processor or Mortgage Loan Originator preferred
- NMLS license preferred
- Understanding of loan underwriting, processing and compliance procedures
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to offer exceptional customer service
- Good organizational and analytical skills
- Self-starter and ability to be assertive and arrive at sound business decisions
