Senior Business Applications Developer (Hybrid – Columbia, SC)

The Senior Business Applications Developer performs a variety of programming assignments using AgFirst standard development tools and methodologies. Maintain and build systems that meet stringent quality attributes such as performance and reliability.

What you’ll do
– Design and lead the development of innovative solutions to solve complex technical and business challenges through an agile approach, establishing the connection between technical and business teams.
– Develop analysis diagrams such as use cases, flow diagrams, etc. to document and communicate analysis results or issues to the project team.
– Understand and use AgFirst design standards and guidelines for designing applications and software modules. Implement Micro service-based solutions.
– Create RESTful Web services and process data.
– Design and develop user interfaces for web and mobile business applications.
– Serves as a mento r to the development team guiding architecture and development best practices, and responsible for the solution architecture design and overall technical quality.
– Maintain confidentiality regarding the information being stored and processed.
– Evaluate interrelationships be tween application components and ensure no unintended changes are introduced.
– Participate and serve as a resource to technical solutions committees.
– Maintain technical currency by keeping skills up-to-date through training, conferences, reading, and collaboration.

What you’ll need
– Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related degree.
– 5+ years of experience in Application development.
– 5+ years of experience in C# and other Object-Oriented languages (including database development tools like T-SQL)
– 2+ years of experience with low-code tools
– Experience with JIRA, GitHub, and Docker is preferable.
– Experience in integrating with Enterprise Service Bus.
– Experience with Domain Driven Design.
– Understanding DevOps enables continuous integration environments.
– Experience working in an Agile development environment.
– Responsibilities may require evening and weekend work responding to support production software systems.
