Senior Capital Markets Servicing Specialist (Hybrid – Columbia, SC)
The Senior Capital Markets Servicing Specialist serves as a key member of the Participation Operations team in the analysis, planning, coordination, and execution of a variety of production and special projects involving ACBS and the Participations/Syndication Portfolio. Related functions include accounting, servicing, origination, and administrative support of the ACBS applications for AgFirst, district associations, and outsourcing customers. Executes a high level of business needs analysis related to production, technical changes, and architectural improvements. Extensive “cross system” and “cross function” related knowledge is required.
What you’ll do
– Performs complex transactions, which include advances, payments, fixed-rate conversions, and rollovers for letters of credit, term and term revolvers, as well as complex error reconciliations related to originator-supplied data.
– The designated portfolio is extremely active (daily, weekly, monthly) at the draw level. Transactions are frequently for large dollar amounts, which pose a substantial risk to the bank and must be handled carefully.
– Responsible for reviewing new account setups directly with a loan officer and originator to understand assigned relationships if considered high profile.
– Maintain efficient accounting and control on a complex portfolio of large participated loans from a diverse group of originators.
– Ensure the accuracy of transactions by performing in-depth analysis.
– Acts as agent for large deals originating in the district and assigned to AgFirst. Accounts are large in size, complex in nature, and subject to heavy activity having specialized and customized servicing requirements.
– Prepares and distributes detailed notices and instructions for account transactions.
– Participate in loan closings and renewals acting as both a user expert and consultant to district and bank personnel as well as ensuring the accuracy of transaction details for the originator and bank.
What you’ll need
– Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
– At least 6+ years of comparable work experience, knowledgeable in sound business practices and project experience.
– Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize and organize routine and special tasks.
– Experience with ACBS or other comparable high-end loan accounting systems.
– Requires knowledge of accounting, commercial lending, credit, risk, and funding terminology related to customer/loan data and financial instrument servicing requirements.
– Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with all levels of personnel. Ability to deliver verbal presentations to a variety of audiences.
– Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
