Senior Compensation Analyst (Hybrid – Columbia, SC)

The Senior Compensation Analyst is responsible for administering the Bank’s compensation strategies to support competitive and equitable rewards. Conducts in-depth market analysis using leading salary surveys, supports the Bank’s position control and salary budgeting process, and prepares and analyzes reports and materials for executives and board-level committees. This role will collaborate closely with HR, finance, and senior leadership to ensure the Bank’s compensation programs align with organizational objectives and industry standards.

What you’ll do
– Conduct job evaluations and benchmarking to ensure consistent and competitive compensation practices across the Bank
– Complete benchmark surveys and analyzes survey data to inform results of the annual Bank and District salary studies, as well as management requests
– Support the development, implementation, and administration of base pay and incentive programs
– Recommend salary ranges, merit budgets and matrices, and other recommendations that align with market trends and promote internal equity
– Administer annual salary and incentive planning processes
– Advise managers on a wide variety of compensation matters
– Act as a subject matter expert to advise on market trends, compliance, and best practices
– Ensure compliance with ICFR, SOX, and related compliance/control activities for Total Rewards
– Manage the Bank’s position control system, ensuring accurate tracking and approvals of positions and budget
– Build and maintain knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements for the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and other related compensation laws and apply this knowledge in making recommendations on compensation matters
– Prepare HR reports and analysis for senior management and other reporting requests.
– Performs system testing on assigned HR technology projects

What you’ll need
– Bachelor’s degree in business, HR management, or related field preferred
– 4 – 6 years of experience in compensation administration or related work
– World at Work, SHRM or related certifications preferred
– Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements concerning compensation and FLSA
– Working knowledge of Microsoft suite of products, particularly Excel
– Excellent communications skills
