About the Role: As the SVP, Managing Director, you will be at the forefront of our agribusiness lending team, guiding a high-performing team to deliver innovative financial solutions to large-scale, complex agribusiness clients. This is more than a leadership role – it’s an opportunity to shape the future of agricultural finance.

What You Need
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Finance, Business, or related field
- Experience: 15+ years of agricultural lending experience, with 10+ years in leadership
- Knowledge: Deep expertise in production agriculture, agribusiness financials, and credit underwriting, proven ability to lead teams, manage risk, and drive business growth, exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

This position preferred locations would be Columbia, Higginsville, Jefferson City, O’Fallon, St. Joseph, or Springfield but other FCS Financial locations will be considered for the right candidate.
This position is classified as Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, finance, business or a related field
- 15 years of experience in agricultural lending
- 10 years of supervisory experience
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Expert knowledge of production agriculture
- Expert knowledge of the financials of farm and agribusiness
- Expert knowledge of credit underwriting policies and practices
- Working knowledge of chattel valuation
- Working knowledge of current agricultural lending practices and the financial services industry
- Working knowledge of industry risk management strategies
- Working knowledge of human resource management practices
- Skill in reasoning persuasively to sell Association products and services
- Skill in establishing and maintaining relationships with existing and perspective customers
- Oral and written communication skills, sufficient to exchange information effectively with peers, supervisor and customers
- Skill in selecting, managing, coaching, motivating and developing a team
- Skill in working as part of a team and collaborating with colleagues
- Skill in negotiating complex agreements to achieve the best outcome for the organization
- Skill in reasoning persuasively to sell credit and related services
- Skill in developing and managing a budget
