Position Description:
Participates in the design, development, debugging, documentation and maintenance of software. Develops solutions utilizing .Net, SQL Server, and other development tools to accomplish organizational goals and meet customer needs. Strong working knowledge of programming languages such as Java; front-end frameworks and libraries including React and Angular; and experience with test automation tools like Selenium. Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker, Docker Swarm, and Kubernetes is essential. Solid experience working with RESTful services and hands-on development experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP is required.
Day-to Day-Duties and Responsibilities:
– Develops, tests, debugs, documents, and implements software and applications as necessary to achieve assi gned goals.
– Organizes and suggests software design recommendations.
– Utilizes skills and abilities to fully understand and develop software based upon business requirement specifications.
– Creates software diagrams including logical and physical system models.
– Produces well organized and documented software solutions to meet business requirements.
– Solicits and performs code reviews, debugging and unit testing.
– Develop extract, transform and load (ETL) solutions.
– Understands and makes effective use of available software development tools and environments.
– Maintains compliance with development standards and procedures.
– Works with users to determine application requirements.
– Maintains knowledge and skills for the technologies utilized within the department.
– Mentors less-senior software developers.
Skill Requirements:
Must be able to develop, test, implement, and maintain software based upo n system specifications. Requires extensive knowledge of the software development tools, languages, and authoring tools outlined below. Experience with .Net technologies and SQL Server is required. Familiarity with current design principles and techniques for software development is essential. Must be able to produce well organized, highly efficient, and reusable software components. Ability to design efficient and proper database components. Excellent written and verbal communications. Must have excellent debugging and unit testing skills. Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively interact with association and bank management and staff, external vendors, prospective bank customers, and working with a team are essential. Must be able to work on a multiple concurrent assignments and projects.

Essential Security, Compliance, and Confidentiality Functions:
– Help to ensure that IT resources (data, applications and infrastructure) are kept secure from unauthorized access and use.
– Report any security related concerns to senior IT Management.
– Participate in ongoing security related training as approved by management.
– Keep informed of and follow Standards and Procedures as presented in the ITS&P and the FCBT General Computer Controls.
– Work with IT compliance to ensure all assigned operational compliance responsibilities are carried out in an efficient manner and report any compliance concerns to senior IT Management.
– Exercise reasonable care in maintaining the confidentiality of FCBT’s information and use of such information for FCBT’s business purposes only.

It is an important role that covers many skills. This position requires:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems or equivalent training, and five (5) or more years of experience in a software development environment. Experience in the design, documentation, development, testing, implementation and support of software applications is necessary.
