Farm Credit Illinois is seeking a motivated college student to join our team as a Strategic Marketing Intern in Summer of 2026. This paid internship offers opportunities to learn about agriculture in central/southern Illinois, gain valuable hands-on experience, see a project through from start to finish, collaborate throughout the Marketplace Engagement Department and Association, and become part of a community-oriented team working to serve farmer-members.
Farm Credit Illinois is an agricultural financial cooperative owned by 16,000 farmers, rural landowners, and agribusiness voting stockholder members in the southern 60 counties of Illinois. What You Will Do:
- Analyze market trends and collaborate with lending and insurance teams to identify growth opportunities.
- Develop and execute targeted marketing campaigns, including graphic design and video production.
- Contribute to social media strategy, content creation, and performance tracking.
- Support data management and collateral archiving across the Marketplace Engagement Department.
- Gain hands-on experience at the Illinois FFA State Convention on June 9 – 11 and explore agriculture in central/southern Illinois.
- Apply your skills in Microsoft Office and Adobe products while working on real-world projects.
- Receive a competitive hourly wage of $20.00 per hour, living stipend, reimbursement for business travel, and paid leave in accordance with the Paid Leave for All Workers Act.
- Work full-time (M–F, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. May 18, 2026 – August 6, 2026) from our Mahomet headquarters with occasional travel across the southern 60 counties of Illinois. Summer housing in or around Champaign County is required.
Eligibility: Must be enrolled as a college sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student during the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 semesters with the intent to be enrolled as students in Fall 2026 as well. Preferred majors include agricultural communications, agricultural business, marketing, and communications.
