FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Farm Credit Council President and CEO Todd Van Hoose today welcomed progress on USMCA and urged the House of Representatives to pass the agreement before the end of the year.

“We are very grateful to President Trump and his team for completing negotiations on the new USMCA. We also appreciate that Congress seems prepared to ratify the agreement. U.S. farmers and ranchers need better access to foreign markets, and USMCA provides that access and will boost U.S. farm exports to Canada and Mexico. We strongly support immediate passage and urge the House to ratify the agreement before the holidays.”
