Washington, D.C. – Farm Credit CEOs from around the country joined state agriculture department leaders on a conference call with senior White House aides at the National Economic Council yesterday afternoon to discuss the need to ensure rural communities and agriculture needs are part of the Trump Administration’s efforts to ease regulatory burdens and advance infrastructure.

“We absolutely understand the difference between the needs of rural and urban infrastructure and will address these needs specifically in partnership with our public and private sector partners,” said Special Assistant to the President for Infrastructure D.J. Gribbin.

“We appreciate the Trump Administration’s approach and partnership to the unique challenges facing rural communities and agriculture and look forward to working with them,” said Farm Credit Council CEO Todd Van Hoose. “Farmers rely on many layers of infrastructure as they move commodities from the farm gate to the port and many points in between.
