Organizations Representing Farmers, Ranchers, and Agribusinesses Across All 50 States Urge Swift House Action on Farm Bill 2.0
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Farm Credit Council is among 338 agricultural organizations supporting swift advancement of Farm Bill 2.0, which was recently approved with a bipartisan vote by the House Committee on Agriculture. The letter, led by the Farm Credit Council, was sent to House Speaker Mike Johnson, Leader Hakeem Jeffries, and all members of the U.S. House of Representatives today.
“Farmers, ranchers, and agribusinesses have been operating under Farm Bill policies written in 2018, and the landscape has changed significantly since that time,” said Farm Credit Council President & CEO Christy Seyfert. “Simply put, agriculture and rural America cannot continue to manage the challenges of 2026 with the solutions from 2018. This letter reflects the strong interest of agricultural constituencies in all 50 states in completing the Farm Bill this year.”
