Farm Credit Furthers Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion - Hosts HBCU-Focused Career Fair Participants from HBCUs across the country connected with employees from 33 Farm Credit institutions to learn about the unique careers available in the Farm Credit system.  Attendance increased  24 percent from last year’s event. and engaged one another in a virtual booth while discussing careers, including internships in finance, marketing, accounting, IT and more.

Farm Credit Celebrates HBCU Week, Gears Up for HBCU Career Fair As part of Farm Credit’s ongoing commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, the Farm Credit Council celebrates the rich history and importance of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in the U.S. and their positive impact on roughly 300,000 current students, staff, alumni and HBCU partners during this year’s HBCU Week.

Farm Credit’s Commitment to Young, Beginning and Small Farmers Grew in 2020 Farm Credit institutions increased their support of young, beginning and small (YBS) farmers and ranchers across the country in 2020, according to a Farm Credit Administration (FCA) report delivered on August 12, 2021. "In the midst of a pandemic, Farm Credit leaned into its mission and strengthened its support for young, beginning and small farmers and ranchers. The commitment Farm Credit lenders make to YBS farmers and ranchers does not waver, in good years or bad. It’s a critical part of our mission, and we’re dedicated to fulfilling it regardless of a pandemic, low commodity prices, challenging trade environments or anything else,” said Farm Credit Council President and CEO Todd Van Hoose.
