Farm Credit celebrates its 100th anniversary on July 17, 2016. In recognizing the organization’s milestone, the President of the United States shared a message of appreciation, the House of Representatives and the Senate both introduced resolutions to commend and congratulate the Farm Credit system, and Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack lauded the organization’s role in American agriculture and spoke to its ongoing importance to the future.

Today Farm Credit wrapped up a series of celebratory events held in Washington, D.C. recognizing its 100th anniversary of providing reliable, consistent credit to rural American communities and agriculture. Farm Credit 100 activities began Tuesday, June 14 and concluded this afternoon on a high note with Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack delivering a keynote speech acknowledging Farm Credit’s centennial milestone at the Farm Credit 100 Fresh Perspectives Award Luncheon.

The Federal Farm Credit Banks Funding Corporation today announced it will offer a new Designated Bond to settle April 12, 2016. The total size of the offering has yet to be determined; however, it will fall within the typical range for new Designated Bond issuance. The Designated Bond will be issued through the Federal Farm Credit Banks Consolidated Systemwide Bond Program.

The Farm Credit System today reported combined net income of $4.688 billion for the year ended December 31, 2015, as compared with $4.724 billion for the prior year. The System also reported combined net income of $1.207 billion for the fourth quarter of 2015, as compared with $1.155 billion for the fourth quarter of 2014.
