Alan Smith, owner of Daddy Pete Farms, has been a dairy farmer since 1972 and is the fourth generation of Smith family farmers since 1907.  In his words, “farming traditions have been passed down for many generations.”

Committed to progress

According to Alan, there have been ideas that were successful and some that failed in order to create farming practices and products that have stood the test of time. “There are traditions that run deep in America,” Alan said, “and many of our ancestors died to provide these traditions for us to enjoy. I believe if you find yourself reading this, it is because you are exercising that love for the soil, for gardening and for America.”

Alan’s hope for Daddy Pete Farms is for their story to always contribute to progress.
