From Farm to Freezer
Farming is deep rooted in Edward and Rebbeca Dalton’s blood. As seventh-generation farmers, they are no strangers to the hard work and countless hours that it takes to manage a farming operation.
Dalton Farms is a 2,000-acre row crop and cattle operation located in northeastern Ohio. The Daltons are proud to provide healthy quality food to their local community and their families.
They harvest the crops that they grow and feed it to their cattle right on the farm, which then goes direct to consumers through meat. They also partner with local farms in their community to offer pork, chicken, and a variety of other products.
For Future Generations to Come
“It’s been extremely rewarding working with the Daltons, not only with their farm operation, but in the community as well,” Carrie Schlechter, Senior Account Officer at AgCredit, said.
As the Daltons raise the eighth generation, they look forward to continuing to expand for the future and strengthen their relationship with AgCredit.
“AgCredit’s been a very important part of our operation from the beginning to my very first farm loan for a piece of property, to being a great financial advisor along the way, to run ideas through to see if what we are trying to do is crazy or has legitimacy to it, to even helping us build to the future for our children and make sure we can keep the legacy going,” Edward said.
