Tim Foote builds on the knowledge he gained throughout his childhood on the farm as a farmer in training.
Today, Tim is a farmer and rancher on his own operation in Texico, New Mexico. He was raised in Oklahoma, went to Oklahoma State and then, after graduation, decided to move down to New Mexico where he has been farming and ranching ever since.
Farm Credit understands
Tim is a Farm Credit customer for many reasons, but perhaps most importantly because they understand what he’s working towards with his cattle business. “I think one of the big advantages for Farm Credit is lots of years of experience with operations just like mine, so the complexity of my operation is second nature to them,” he said.
Tim has turned to Ag Texas Farm Credit Services for support throughout his years when he has wanted to expand. “Farm Credit understands the business and they’re very much willing to expand with the operation.”
In good times and bad
Just like his peers, Tim’s business is at the mercy of the agriculture markets. Sometimes they’re good and sometimes they’re not. Despite this unpredictability, Farm Credit has been there for Tim regardless. “We’ve been through some pretty tough times where the market rose up and then fell down. Farm Credit understands when it’s tough and to stick with you, they don’t abandon ship,” Tim said.
Through thick and thin, Tim has felt that his experiences at Farm Credit go beyond that typically found in a buyer/seller relationship. “The customer service at Farm Credit is second to none. You don’t feel like you’re just a customer. You feel like you’re part of the Farm Credit system,” he said.
