Abby Gibbon dreamed of starting her own full-care sporthorse boarding and training facility.
After some searching, she found the perfect piece of property on which to start her business. The only downfall was that there was a lot of restoration work to be done first, but Abby was confident she had the energy and drive necessary to turn her dream into a reality.
Farm Credit fills the gaps
The local banks didn’t think she could do it, but Farm Credit willing to take a chance.
Abby said, “Farm Credit saw my vision in having a lot of energy to fix things up and make the property into something that wasn’t just where I would live, but also my livelihood. I’ve always felt that Farm Credit was able to see the vision, even when it was not obvious to anyone else.”
The realization of a dream
With the help of Horizon Farm Credit, Abby, an FEI eventer and USDF medalist in her own right, now owns and operates Fine Idea Farm, established in 2015.
