To Ricky Frantzen, there’s no better place to raise a family than on a farm.

"{Raising cattle} is a tough business, but it's a good business to raise a family," Ricky said. "There's nothing better." 

Getting Started

Ricky owns and operates a cow/calf operation in Fredericksburg, Texas. Roughly 18 years ago, when Ricky first started his operation, he leased the land from the original owners of his property, and he's been running cattle on it ever since.

Parcel by Parcel

As time passed, the landowners began to sell their land and Capital Farm Credit helped him purchase it, parcel by parcel. Today, Ricky proudly runs his cattle on his own land.
