Loan Accounting Operations Specialist

The Loan Accounting Operations Specialist identifies and solves issues as well as implements efficiencies pertaining to the loan accounting system.  The specialist works closely with loan accounting staff and third party vendors to communicate issues, needs, and process/procedural changes.

Strong communication, problem solving, critical thinking and interpersonal skills are essential. 

Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 5 years' work experience in accounting, or an equivalent combination, required. 


Intern Data Analytics
Position Overview: The Intern assists with collection, filtering and exploration of large datasets from both internal systems and external sources. The position will contribute to the monitoring, analysis and communication of data-driven results as it relates to the organization’s lending portfolio trends, credit quality, and stress testing. The Intern will assist team members with applying data mining, analysis and spreadsheet skills to identify and quantify risks. This internship runs from approximately September 2019-May 2020.

The Vice President, Large and Agribusiness Loans underwrites and approves/denies large, complex, agribusiness and commercial loans by providing comprehensive credit underwriting.

Required Skills

Process Consultant
Location: Normal, IL / Sun Prairie, WI / Lakeville, MN / Mankato, MN Position Overview: This position collaborates with business units to analyze and measure the effectiveness of existing business processes and develop sustainable, repeatable and quantifiable business process improvements acting as the liaison between the business units and technology teams for analysis of business needs. In addition, this individual partners with project teams on technology solutions, providing process expertise, training and documentation.
VP Internal Audit
The VP Internal Audit provides a well-planned, properly structured auditing program essential for effective risk management. This individual will oversee the audit program that is a critical defense against fraud. In addition, the VP Internal Audit reports to the Board Audit Committee and the Chief Risk Officer and will provide vital information to the Board of Directors regarding the effectiveness of Compeer’s internal control systems. In addition, the VP Internal Audit serves as the primary audit lead for audits from all regulatory bodies.
Internal Controls Analyst

The Internal Controls Analyst oversees, directs and implements processes and controls necessary to maintain a safe and sound internal control environment.  This position ensures a proper control environment, related documentation, and support validation.  This position leads the assessment of the adequacy of the design and effectiveness of internal controls over all aspects of the association’s business based on risk assessments performed.
