Speakers Echo Support for YBS Farmers
In October, nearly 150 employees from Farm Credit institutions across the nation gathered in Bryan, Texas, for the 2024 Farm Credit YBS Conference. Over three action-packed days, the meeting featured an inspiring lineup of speakers, including a keynote address by Jason Brown, a former NFL lineman turned farmer; a post-dinner talk by Jim Olson, a former counterintelligence agent and CIA Director; and remarks from The Honorable Vincent Logan, Chairman and CEO of the Farm Credit Administration.

Participants also engaged in a series of interactive breakout sessions covering topics such as marketing to YBS customers, building YBS advisory committees, and exploring creative approaches to YBS lending.
Capital Farm Credit graciously hosted a reception at their new facility, offering a true taste of Texas hospitality. The state-of-the-art building features elements that celebrate the rich diversity of Texas agriculture. It also features a podcast studio and a room dedicated to the history of Capital Farm Credit, showcasing documents and photos dating back decades. Conference attendees discussed marketing, lending and more over three days of interactive programming
No trip to Bryan/College Station would be complete without a stop at the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library. Guests enjoyed a prime rib dinner in the museum’s atrium, prepared by the Texas A&M Meat Judging Team, based in the Department of Animal Science. Afterward, attendees had the chance to explore the exhibits, posing for photos at the iconic mock Oval Office desk, admiring gifts from world leaders and dignitaries, and, of course, marveling at Barbara Bush’s famous pearls.
